这首长达九分多钟的 Hey, Jude，是披头士相当着名的一首歌，曾在1968年获得九周排行冠军，也是60年代的单曲总排行冠军。单曲问世的时候，还曾经惹出一场国际风波，因为在德国，Jude这个字又指犹太人，使得这首歌在欧洲产生了一些不必要的政治联想，实际上整首歌却和犹太人一点关系都没有。
曲子中提到的 Jude，其实是披头四成员约翰蓝侬的儿子朱利安蓝侬( Julian Lennon )的昵称，当时包括保罗麦卡尼等其他成员都很喜欢朱利安，於是由约翰蓝侬和保罗麦卡尼合写，然后四位团员共同灌录了这首曲子，送给了朱利安。
约翰蓝侬后来离婚，另外与日籍前卫艺术家小野洋子结婚，生下西恩蓝侬( Sean Lennon )，并写了一首歌 Beautiful boy 送给西恩，不过这个时候，披头四已经解散了。
