References in the text appear in the form of (Schmitt 1990; Jolivet & Hawkeswood 1995) or Santiago-Blay et al. (2001). There should be no comma between the author’s name and the year. In the reference list at the end of the article, references should be listed alphabetically, again without a comma between Authors name and year: For example: Jolivet, P. & Hawkeswood, T. 1995. Host-plants of Chrysomelidae of the world. Backhuys Publishers, Leiden. Journal titles should be given in full. No small caps should be used for author’s names, neither in the text nor in the reference list.
 Tables should be submitted in separate files, not embedded in the text. Authors can be very helpful by indicating the approximate desired locations within the text of accompanying figures, tables, and other illustrations. Tables must have an appropriate heading and must bear consecutive Arabic numerals. Each column of a table should have a heading and the units of measure, if any, should be indicated in these headings. If there are symbols or abbreviations used in the table, they should be explained at the bottom of the table. Tables should be cited “Table 1,” etc.

 Scientific names, when first used, are given complete with author and year. There should be a comma between the author’s name and the year. For example: Galeruca tanaceti (Linnaeus, 1758). Further mentions only require G. tanaceti , unless there are other genera beginning with G. in which case full spelling may be favoured to minimized confusion. When at the beginning of a sentence, the names should be given in full. The use of scientific names for animals must be in concordance with the latest International Rules of Zoological Nomenclature and the decisions of the International Commision on Zoological Nomenclature (Declarations and Opinions). Authors should follow the applicable international codes of nomenclature for the other groups of organisms.

 All submitted manuscripts will be peer-reviewed by at least one of the Series Scientific Editors, Pierre Jolivet, Jorge Santiago-Blay and Michael Schmitt and an outside referee. Upon return of reviews, authors will be asked to modify their papers to accommodate suggestions of the reviewers and the editor as well as to conform to requirements of Research on Chrysomelidae. If authors do not modify their papers, they should specifically address, on a point by point basis, why they are not doing that.
 The publisher agrees to deliver to each author the pdf of his/her paper published in Research on Chrysomelidae. Each author is entitled to buy one copy of the book at a 50% discount of the retail price.
