摘要：固原市以农业为主，回族是该地区最多的少数民族，是我国回族人口最为集中的地区之一。由于该地区位于宁夏南部山区黄土丘陵地带，生态环境极为脆弱，因此该地区是宁夏乃至西北最先实施退耕还林还草的地区。本文着重分析了这个以农业为主的地区在实施退耕还林还草后农业所存在的问题以及当地的农业现状，并提出了农业可持续发展的若干对策建议。
