王府井大街的天主教堂简介：）~~
BeiJING the Catholic East Church is sit on the east of wangfujin street.it was build on AD 1655,at the beginning,it was a house that emperor ShunZhi vouchsafe to two foreign abba.The East Church was originally called Saint Joseph’s Church.it’s the second Catholic church in beijing city,after the south church(xuanwumen catholicism church).
in 1720’s earthquake,the house brake down,next year was rebuild.in the hall,there has many eikons drawd by Giuseppe Castiglione.1807(the twelfth year on JiaQing of Qing dynasty),because of abba conveied the books form church,beget fire ,burn the house,but the church survived.
presently,the church was charged to backout,so east church was disrepaired.1884,rubuild.1900,reruin.1904,rebuild,it’s todays east church.
on the 21st ,Aug,1966,it’s closed.
1980,large-scale repairs and maintenance were carried out by the government for East Church. ,at the same year , on 24th ,December,opened.
Occupying an area of 2,387 square metres, the church underwent its latest renovation in May of this year. Beside the church is a front square of 1.2 hectares. Trees and grass were planted and various lighting facilities were installed to show off the gorgeous building at night.
北京王府井大街上的教堂称东堂，始建于西元1655 年，原是顺治皇帝赐给两位外国神父的宅院。它是继南堂（宣武门天主教堂）之后北京城内的第二座天主教教堂。
1720年地震，房屋倒塌，次年重修。堂内有朗世宁所绘圣像多幅。1807年（喜庆十二年）神父们因搬运堂内图书，引起火灾，将房屋烧毁，教堂无恙。不久，教堂被责令拆除，东堂遂废。1884年经田类思主教向国外募捐巨款，重建大堂。1900年6月13日再次被毁，1904年又重建，即今之天主堂。
1966年8月21日，东堂关闭。1980年开始修复，同年12月24日正式开堂。自1990年起该堂被列为市级重点文物保护单位。
