people,class等词语既可以做单数名词,后跟is;又可以做复数名词,后跟are.那么什么时候做单数名词,什么时候做做复数名词呢?
people如果是"民族"的意思,可以加a
如:China is a strong people. 中国是一个坚强的民族
表示人一般表示复数,如果是一个人可以说a person
class表示班级用单数,如:Is this class following the rules? 这个班级遵守纪律吗?
表示班级的全体成员用复数.如:The class are listening to the teacher attentively. 全班都在全神贯注地听老师讲课.
这时the class=all the students in the class
pepole 如表示民族是根据单复数变化,但一般用复数.
class 如表示班级则用单数，如表示班级里的人则用复数．
eg:1.This class is good.(这个班级是好的）
2．The whole class are taking notes.（整个教室里的学生在记笔记）．
