heading after its flame was extinguished by American meatheads. Trivia
time:the last Disco track to reach #1? Lipps inc.'s "Funkytown".May 1980.
And by then synthesizers and drum machines really started coming into their
own.as shomn by the track's stank con trast to big-band.string-seciton .
rntire-ensemble disco cuts that pemeated radio waves 5 years earlier.Machines
allowed making the music easier.faster.and cheaper.but they also brought on
a whole bunch of other things.The 80s proved to be the coming-out party for
eletronic music.as within a year pf Disco's infamous backlash everyone.from
Reggae(Eddy Grant)to Funk(George Clinton)to Jazz(Herbie Hancock)to movie
soundtracks(The Warriors) would employ electronic instruments with glee.As for
Disco--it moved to Burope and became ltalo Disco.

又名：DUB HOUSE
This kind of stuff's been around at least for30 years.Take reggae.remove
lynrics and hamonies. What you have left is what those lovable Jamaicans like
to call the dub.Yeah:Dub.Sheesh.sounds like one of those pet words stoners aleays
come up with in their spare time.Add a beat to it and it becomes Dub house.lt
was the evertoll for DJs-a groove to lay down under all the anthems and
floorfillers--somehow making it a genre in its own right.Now it's influenced
everything else as well.There's probably a million and one sub genres of this--
ambient dub.techno dub.dub dub--but l'm too lazy to find out what they got going
forthem.But god bless those wacky Jamaicans and their wonderful detail to rhythm.

compose.and perfrm music.What l like best about this period is everyone who
picked up an electronic instrument did so because they were already established
musicians an composers looking for additions and enhancements and explorations
of their sounds.Today.electronic musicians--especially the bad ones--seem to be
mostly lazy.uncreative morons who don't know a damn thing about music because
they let the sequencer and preset banks do all the work.lt'sno wonder that
music 20 years still sounds way more interesting than it does today.
