Pollution is a "dirty" word.To pollute means to make things unclean or unfit for using.Nowadays,our earth has been seriously polluted.Pollution has a long history.People have been polluting the earth from the time when they first made fire,washed his colthes in the river,and threw waste on the
ground.When the land was made thin and the water became dirty, people moved to another place.At first,the problem was not so serious because there was plenty of clean air, land and water.There weren't so many people back then and thier needs were fewer.All the dirty things could be absorbed by nature and recovered soon.But this is no longer true.The increasing population and the developing industry have changed it a lot.People are slowly poisoning the invironment.

As we know, environmental pollution does great harm to human beings.It begins to attack our health,our happiness,and our lives,so it must attract our attention.Now more and more people have realized how seious the problem is. Fortunately,our goverment is doing its best to take measures to fight against pollution.We have done a great deal of work,but there is still a long way to go.We must keep on fighting until the environment improves and we get away from pollution.We are sure that we will win the battle.

环境保护自然为本
环境保护应以自然为本,自然作为我们生存的基础,若没有自然,更谈不上人类的存在与发展,有人说人是万物之灵,没有人,就谈不上环境保护,可我想说的是,如果没有人那么环境还需要保护,没有人的破坏,自然现在应该还是一片生机勃勃吧!有些人自认为人类是世界的主体,世界上的一切生物都是为人,而存在的,多么可笑啊,历史的发展告诉我们,人只是大自然的一个产物而以,当原始人猿从树上走下来的时候,若是自然又突然发生了什么不可思议的变化的话,那人类的出现就变成一个神话了.不知各位看过人类发展的那个记录片没,那里有一句话我觉得是十分精典的;人的出现,是世界的一个偶然,而且是几万万分之一的偶然创造了人类.
动物的存在不是因为人的存在,如果没有人的话,它们也许会生活更加无忧无虑,每种生物都有它自己存在的价值,也都有它自己存在的意义,老虎要保护,老鼠要被消灭,完全是人类根据它对自身的影响而强加给它的,若人类不在,你能说那种动物是有益的那种是有害的吗?
古雅典文明的覆灭,难到不是很好的说明吗?人类的文明无论发展到什么境界,不都是需要生存的环境吗?不以自然为本的环境保护是不完全的,是带有人类中心主义思想的,人是可以创造,可以毁灭好多东西,可是自然呢,是人类可以创造的了的吗,但毫无疑问,人可以摧毁它的.人类的地球2号计划不是又一次失败了吗?

Polluted River
This Stauary morning,my father and I went fishing in a river near ourhome.When we sat down on the riverside,we found the water was so dirty that we could not see the bottom.We also found some rubbish and dead fish floating on the water.We were really fishing in troubleed water today.During the day ,my father and I caught few fish in the heavily polluted river.Why did fish in the river die ?That was because a lot of factories along the riverside always poured their waste waterand rubbish into the river and then the water got polluted.Turs,most of the fish in the river were killed.And the polluted river killed our hobby of fishing also.
