高考问答http 双斜杠:linux 下安装 xmms -1.2.9 时出错！！

我下载了 xmms-1.2.9.tar.gz
逐步安装到
./configure 时说
checking for glib-config... no
checking for GLIB - version >= 1.2.2... no
*** The glib-config script installed by GLIB could not be found
*** If GLIB was installed in PREFIX, make sure PREFIX/bin is in
*** your path, or set the GLIB_CONFIG environment variable to the
*** full path to glib-config.
configure: error: *** GLIB >= 1.2.2 not installed - please install first ***
但是我使用# rpm -q glib
发现 glib-1.2.10-11 ？？！！
怎么回事？
（我重新下载安装了 glib-2.8.0.tar.gz 问题依旧）
高手请指点，不胜感激！
我是 Red Hat Enterprise Linux 4 ,使用 RHEL4-I386-AS-DISC 的ISO安装。
期待答案，不胜感激！

xmms是gtk1程序 你下载的glib是gtk2的库
do you understand?
beep-media-player不是挺好吗？为什么一定要用xmms呢？
一般来说Linux操作系统会默认/lib和/usr/lib这两条路径为链接路径，因此必须确认你的glibc库安装到了这两条路径下
