Answer:
There seems to be a problem with the McAfee Alert Manager locking up the system. To resolve this issue:
Go to the Control Panel
Double-click on Administrative Tools
Double-click on Services
Click on the list on the right and scroll down to the McAfee Alert Manager
Right Click on the Alert Mng. and go to Properties
On the Startup Type it usually says automatic, click the arrow on the right and scroll down to disable.
Hit OK at the bottom and close out of Services and Administrative Tools
That should fix the problem.
