高考问答亚历山大里亚时期:A problem I met when installing VS6.0-----Help!!!

Problem Description:
When I was installing visual studio 6.0,a warning box flashed out--ODBC's SQLDriverInstallManager failed!
then I clicked Confirm Button to continue with the installing,when the process bar went to 100%,
another warning appeared--Register scrrun.dll failed,followed with the information of "Failed to install VS6.0.".
How to resolve such a problem ?

操作系统:Windows XP SP2
当我安装VS6.0的时候,屏幕弹出开放式数据库连接的结构化查询语言驱动的安装失败!然后我点了"确定"按纽继续安装,当进度条显示100%的时候,屏幕又弹出一个警告:注册文件scrrun.dll有问题,紧接着就出现:"VS6.0安装失败!"的提示.
如何解决该问题?
检查上面提到的那两个文件是否不完整或者文件内部有错误,找到完整的文件重新安装吧

You can choose not to install the components with the database,whether sql or something else.Just by ticking off the items.
And about the scrrun.dll,it is a necessary file to run vs6.For example,when running a vb6 programme,there should be a scrrun.dll in the system,whether in the system directory(like win98,win me,or something else) or in the same directory where the exe file lies.Default installed the operating system,it is included in win 2000 and xp or above.When it says registering scrrun.dll error,you can try to register it yourself.You can copy a scrrun.dll to the %winnt%\system32(or %windows%\system in win98 or win me),then copy a regsvr32.exe to any directory,then run it in the dos-box,well,sorry,the command line.It's,Start->Run->command(or cmd in win2000 or xp),press Enter.Turn to the directory where the regsvr32.exe lies,then type in "regsvr32 scrrun.dll".If it says "DLLRegisterSever in scrrun.dll succeeded!" then try to run vs6.
