database theories and application is a practical yet theoretical core course for students not specializing in computer related areas. This course mainly consist of the basic principles of database, introduction to Visual Foxpro, basic command operations, structured query language (SQL), and program design fundamentals. The goal of the course is to provide students with fundamental understanding, working knowledge, and basic design skills of database programs, practice students' ablity to analyze and solve problems independently through various projects, and to improve students' ability of logical analysis.
