正确的应该是:
She exerted herself to defeat the disease, control destiny and pull herself through.
exert oneself to do 和 strive to do 的意思基本是一样的，放在一起是罗嗦。
战胜用英文表达就是击败，defeat。 而不是win赢得
命运最好不要说击败，不然命运哪里去了呢？所以用掌握control，或者改变change
战胜自己这种表达的实质意思是克服遇到的困难，取得胜利，结合句子语境，她得病了，用pull sb through
with exert she strive to win disease, destiny, and oneself.
把to后面那个动词的ing去掉就行了。这是我老师说的，至于为什么，我也不知道。
没有谓语 用exert或者strive当位谓语就好了
