HOME SECURITY SYSTEM

ABSTRACT

With the development of our economy， average household income has raised increasingly。Residence and personal security become more and more important to us。Murder, burglary, many criminals are still at large because of lacking of evidence. Typical home security systems are quite expensive and not all the families can afford that. In order to solve the problem, I took a different approach to detecting motion and this new technology is much more reliable and a fraction of the cost of the typical multi-camera systems. The system only uses a single video camera connected to a pc.

Imagine being away from your home or office. Suddenly your cell phone rings and alerts you. Right at that very moment you will know what activity has been detected on your property. If you have the ability to logon to your email box and you will see exactly what the event details are and make a decision. Afterwards, you will have video footage to use when your local police agency need assistance with gathering facts and findings.

The system is based on C# and it realized the functions expected. As the video frames change, motion is detected when the system processes differences in the pixels between one frame and the next. I have used threshold , segmentation , erosion and other image processing techniques. The reliability varies because of the difference of camera’s physical characteristics and environment surrounded.

随着经济的发展，人们家庭收入日益提高。家庭财产安全保障也逐渐成为我们关注的问题。盗窃，凶杀……许多案件因为没有线索使犯罪分子逍遥法外。而目前的家庭保安系统价格昂贵，并非一般家庭所能承受，为了解决这一问题，我开发了一个廉价，可行的家庭保安系统。整个系统配置非常简单，只要利用家里原有的图像捕捉设备（比如摄像头，数码摄像机）和一台电脑，就可让你高枕无忧。即使远在千里之外，家里的一切情况尽在掌控之中。

我们可以设想，当你在办公室或外出旅游时，突然你的手机收到一条短信：告诉你家里有异常情况，你只要通过无线设备打开你的邮箱，家里的一切情况全在你的视线之内。然后，你可以从容的选择处理方式，也为今后警方调查，取证，尽快抓获犯罪分子提供了充分的证据。

基于C#的家庭保安系统基本实现了预期的功能。系统通过对图像分割，阈值处理，腐蚀，边缘检测等一系列处理过程，能够很快的发现动态，验证了其快速响应特性。但是由于图像捕捉设备的物理特性差异，和外界环境影响，使其可靠性存在一定起伏。
