the other 是其中的“另一个”, 如：Give me the other one

the others

the other说的是指另一个，只适用于说两个事物时。other说的是另外的一个，说的是很多事物中的另外一个。others说的是另外好多个。其余的问题本人所知有限，抱歉。

other是“其他的”“其它的”之意，复数形式是others,加定冠词表示全部，如：He has two sisters ,one is a nurse,the other is a teacher.
Whatever others may say,I will do my duty.
the other 在句中指另外一个的意思．others 则指其他人．
the others =the rest ,指可数名词的剩余部分．如：
Some of the apples come from America,the others from Japan or Africa.
搭配词组：
some ……others……others 指一些……一些……一些，都是可数的名词复数形式。
some……anther(a second)……the other 指既定数目中(就是指some)一个怎样，第二个怎样，第三个怎样……到剩下的最后一个怎样。
one …… one…… 加名词的单数形式，指一个怎样，一个怎样。
some ……some ……加可数名词的复数形式，表示一些怎样，一些怎样。
