John F. Kennedy Library

The John Fitzgerald Kennedy Library is the presidential library and museum of U.S. President John F. Kennedy. It is located on Dorchester's Columbia Point in Boston, Massachusetts, USA, and was designed by the architect I.M. Pei. The building is the official repository for original papers and correspondence of the Kennedy Administration. The library and museum were dedicated in 1979 by President Jimmy Carter and members of the Kennedy family.

Features
The library's first floor features a museum containing video monitors, family photographs, political memorabilia, and many replicas — most notably, the Kennedy Oval Office and a replica of his brother Robert F. Kennedy's office at the Department of Justice. Two cinemas show documentary films. Other rooms display changing exhibits. Outside the library is Kennedy's sailboat, Victura.

Location and transportation
The library is located next to the Boston campus of the University of Massachusetts, overlooking Dorchester Bay, with a view of Boston Harbor and the city skyline. It can be reached from nearby Interstate 93 or via shuttle bus from the JFK/UMass stop on the Boston subway's Red line
