Abstract : On the basis of detailed analysis of a novel harmonic counteracting method which can be used to effectively compensate the supply line harmonic currents of a passive single-phase diode bridge rectifier , this paper presents two simpler single-phase diode bridge rectifier configurations and their alternatives which can achieve low supply line current THD(total harmonic distortion) too. Moreover, this paper also proposes a few passive harmonic-counteracting networks for multi single-phase rectifiers which are connected in parallel.

基于谐波注入抵消原理的多种低谐波整流装置结构

摘要谐波注入抵消力法能有效地抵消无源单相整流装置所引起的电流谐波,本文在分析这种力法原理的J仁础}_,捉出)L种结构非常简单的低谐波整流装置.此外,本文还针对多个单相整流装置同时并联运行情况,探讨了用附加无源网络实现谐波的统一补偿.

AC-DC uncontrollable diode-bridge rectifiers (see Fig. 1) are widely used especially in developing countries. The current drawn from the utility system is highly distorted because a large smoothing inductor (L0 in Fig. 1) is used to obtain a stable dc load current Id. In view of the problem of harmonic pollution and to meet the harmonic limits specified in standards such as IEC555 [1], various harmonic filter configurations have been proposed in the past [2- 4]. These range from relatively simple passive circuits to complex active devices. We also have presented a passive configuration (see Fig. 2) in the paper [5] based on a novel harmonic counteracting method, the principle of which is to modify the current waveform in supply lines by reversing a second harmonic current every other cycle and injecting it to the utility source through appropriate passive networks. The simulation and experimental results [5] show that the total harmonic distortion (THD) can be significantly reduced approximately from 50 % to 10 %.
It should be noted that :
1) There is no second harmonic component in the supply current before and after ij injection;
2) And the injecting current ij is not a second harmonic, although i is.
