高考问答大连高新园区房子:为什么不能格式化

我的D盘上原来装了个XP，但现在我不想用它了，而且D盘现在只剩1G，又没有有用的文件了，所以我想把D盘直接格式化算了，可是为什么在win下单击右键之后总是提示“Windows cannot format this drive.quit any disk utilities or other tha are using this drive,and make sure that no window is displing the contencts of the drive.then try formatting again.”请问如何知道那些文件正在使用？也就是说怎样才能格式化D盘。谢谢各位高手了！
光盘起动再格式化
1楼的说得对
有安装光盘的话就用光盘引导，安装的时候format了就ok..
或者用启动盘引导（windows中能作启动盘），进dos再格..
