This article briefly traced the life of Mr Qiu Huan-tang, the TaiWan modern ceramic master, from his learning and practising of ceramics to his mastery and creation. It also expresses his ideas and philosophies of artistic creativity by reviewing some of his masterpieces. Mr Qiu Huan-tang's artworks and influence have
met with a wide-spread assurance,thus,the framework of Taiwan's ceramic and its vast-number of elites could be seen through his shadow.
