This paper introduced the main design of silicon dioxide filter (SDF) hydraulics system and the design and fulfillment of the modification of SDF hydraulics control system using Programmable Logic Controller (PLC)technology. The SDF hydraulics equipment is composed of the hydraulics system and the electrical control system, This plan allows both auto-control and manual control. However, the control of SDF hydraulics equipment is the most important part in the whole SDF. Currently, most of the SDF hydraulics equipments are controlled by using relay combined with discrete electronic elements. This control needs complicated electronic circuit and many relays, and this will cause low reliability, high failure rate, and many daily maintenance. Along with the development of PLC technology, PLC is applied in the control of SDF hydraulics equipment and replace of the original hydraulics equipment control circuits. After the SDF hydraulics equipment control system modified with PLC, its control effect is far better than that of the original system, and the reliability is also improved greatly. This designing plan has broad applied prospect in the modification of the hydraulics equipment control system in various machines and devices.
