My Holiday
In last summer vacation, I went to the West Lake in Hang Zhou. The West Lake is one of the most famous lakes in China.
Summer is the best season for going the West Lake. Lotus blossomed at this time. I went to the West Lake in an early morning. There were not many people in there at this time. I walked along the bank. The flat lake surface seemed like a mirror. The faint breeze stirred tiny ripples on the surface of the water. The branches of the willows on the bank drooped over the water seems like a pretty girl was washing her long hair. Every ting was so quiet. There were some lotuses on the lake. Crystal dropped were dripping from a dozen lotus buds in the lake, while beads of water rolled about the leaves. On the lotus leaf, the lotus flower seemed to open her petal to show her beautifulness to people. “Come form the sludge without dirty, live in the beautiful lake without coquettish”, this was the best poem for the lotus. The opposite of the West Lake was hills. There were some temples on the hills.
Poets always liked writing Green hills and blue waters. Because of this, long long ago, many poets lived near the West Lake, like Su Shi, Bai Ju Yi, Liu Zhong Yuan and so on.
I will never forget that beautiful lake.
