My First Feeling（建议改为impression，因为你亲身感受到的） Yali
Hello, every one. I’m Kathy. I’m very happy to take part in this competition. I’m sure that you must know the title of my lecture. That’s right, it’s My First Feeling（impression） about Yali.
In primary school, every one（many people） told me that Yali is the most famous key school of Hunan. So I always wanted to study in this such as（去掉as） a wonderful middle school in that time. Now my dream has became true. I feel really cheerful but also（去掉） a little nervous（at the same time） because Yali is so famous that many good （改为excellence突出优秀不是一般的好）students came to（去掉came to） study here. It gave（give） me too much stress, but（建议改为however） the teacher gave me confident（confidence）, （加so）I’m not afraid of（改为about） it.
I have known more about Yali since I studied in it. The name Yali comes from the Analects of Confucius, “子所雅言，诗书执礼”，it’ s meaning elegance of expression (ya) and propriety of conduct (li) in English and is a translation（不是翻译而是缩写abbreviate） of Yale. The school’s mottos are Fairness, Diligence, Honesty and Sincerity. Yali has many years of history. It had set up in 1906, up till now, it has had 100 years of history. I think I’m really very lucky, because I can celebrate the 100 years birthday of my school. It’s so rare and precious, and I’m very proud of it. I hope we will have a noble celebration of 100 years birthday.
This is my first feeling（impression） about Yali. It’s my pleasure to study in Yali. I wish Yali will create new achievements heartily.
