DETERMINATION OF TAPPED DENSITY BY MACHINE METHOD
1. VanKel Tap Density Tester – Model #50-1200
2. A 100 ml and a 250 ml VanKel measuring cylinders.

PROCEDURE:

6. Calculate the tap density for the product, and record the results.
7. For extract and UHD products, calculate and record both the 100 and 300 taps. For 100 tap, set the tester for 100 taps and push the start key.
8. Use parafilm to cover the top of the cylinder, if necessary, to prevent the product from escaping.
