　　常见的结构有:“ a + 单位词(单数)+of + 名词”和“ 单位词(复数)+of +名词”。这种结构中的名词可能是可数名词,也可能是不可数名词。而和它连用的动词的数则取决于单位词的数。例:

　　A portion of the contract deals with the walnut. 这个合同的一部分涉及核桃。(contract 是单数可数名词。)

　　Several crates of oranges were sent from America to China. 几箱橘子从美国运到中国。(oranges 是复数可数名词。)

　　A drop of blood was found on the ground. 地上发现了一滴血。(blood是不可数名词。)

　　Drops of blood were found on the ground. 地上发现了几滴血。
