②others 是代词，单独使用，意思是“别人，别的事物”，主要表示“其余一部分但不是全部”。如：

Please show me others. 请拿些别的东西给我看。

Some like dancing, some others like singing.

有的人喜欢跳舞，有的人喜欢唱歌。

③the other 是指两者或双方中的另一个人/物，常用于one...the other...句型。如：

I have two friends. One is a policeman and the other is a teacher.

我有两个朋友。一个是警察，另一个是教师。

④the others相当于the other+可数名词复数，指一个范围内的剩余全部。如：

There are many boys in our class. Some are playing ping?pong. Some are playing football. The others are watching TV.

我们班里有许多男孩。一些人在打乒乓球，另一些人在踢足球，其余的人在看电视。

⑤another 用作代词指不定数目中的另一个人或物，表示“另外的”、“其它的”时，后接“数词+复数名词”。如：

To say is one thing, to do is another. 说是一回事，做是另一回事。

There's room for another three people in the back of the bus.

公共汽车后面还能坐下三个人。

用other, others, another填空：

①I don't like this book, give me ____ one.

②Think of ____ as well as yourself.

③You can't get there ____ than by swimming.

another 许多个中的另外一个
the other 剩下的一个（最后一个）
others 其他的（没有范围）

例:There are three apples, one is mine ,another is hers ,the other is his.

he is different from others(没有范围）

用苹果来举例子吧：
1。比如你有2个苹果，你手里1个，你朋友手里一个，则i have a apple,my friend have the other apple

2。你有一堆苹果，你手里一个，你朋友一个，则i have a apple,my friend have another apple

3。你有一堆苹果，你手里一个，其余都在你朋友手里，则i have a apple,my friend have anothers

others是other的复数，在不特指哪些剩余的时使用。
the other在列举只剩下一个的时侯使用，the others在一个特定范围里列举且剩下不止一个时使用，如说一个班的学生，列举掉其中一个或多个，剩下的就用 the others。another一般与one 连用。

上面的都是费话.
1.other+n=others,others 表示其他的．．．．．．，其中还含有另外些情况，如公园中 Some boys are running,others are playing football.
2.the other + n.=the others,表示剩下的全部．．．．，没有别的情况．
3.another 表示三者或三者以上的，比如Sir,this pen is too old,please give me another one.
