楼上的不对，help 直接跟动词的用法比比皆是，不一定跟sb.比如：I can't push the cart on my own--will somebody help assist me? "我一个人推不动这辆大车,谁能帮我一下?"这里help 后面就是直接跟的assist动词。另外，help还可作不及物动词，如：Trade helps the development of industry.贸易促进工业的发展。
这些都可以在字典里查到，这类问题多查字典就行了，不要想当然。你那句子可以i help finish the task.语法上完全没问题。
不可以. 一定要help sb, 不然就没有你原文的意思了, 因为你没写明帮谁.. (而且help sb do sth是一个格式, 规定了help要跟sb的)
