McFly got their name from the film BACK TO THE FUTURE, which is Tom's favourite film ( apart from starwars) and mcfly is the secnd name of one of the characters. they are all talented, and kind hearted.

people were asking about the 'MAKE POVERTY HISTORY' wrist bands, im not sure whether they still sell them, but i got my last year. it looks like this. and if you want it i suggest you have a look on the official MAKE POVERTY HISTORY website or OXFAM.

the only thing about mcfly that has a reference to a HOTEL is the single 'ROOM ON THE THIRD FLOOR; which was written on the third floor of a hotel, but otherwise. they have nothing to do with mcfly

and they are POP not PUNK at all!
