During the course of setting calculation of Relay Protection Equipments, the active trip relay protection equipment should possess four basic properties: selectivity, rapidity, sensitivity, and reliability。Usually, its reliability could be ensured by the technical levels of the chosen protection equipment producing factories, its rapidity and sensitivity have been well modified along with the improvement of technological levels compared with the past. But the combination of setting calculation selectivity is inconvenient. There are combinations of transformer protection for low-voltage station and Low-voltage automatic air switches or auto-fuses， the combination of up-and-down automatic switches, as well as those of automatic switches and up-and-down auto-fuses。Different switch types, technical parameters, and protection property curves bring inconvenience to protection combinations. Thus this paper stresses on the selectivity combination which easy be ignored be relative experts, discusses the importance and designing process based on special engineering design examples.
