Why not commission? Commission is good. Everybody stay in the business to make profit. If you offer good service, you need to be rewarded. Like if you work in the restuarent, you get tips from your customer (USA, not Japan). Commission is a positive word, meaning you get reward by helping someone to get what they want. If everything is over the table, it is leagal; by if it is under the table, that is, getting paid without anyone else to know, it is illegal.
