[摘要] 随着计算机技术的发展，传统仪器开始向计算机化的方向发展。虚拟仪器是90年代提出的新概念。虚拟仪器技术的提出与发展，标志着二十一世纪自动测试与电子测量仪器领域技术发展的一个重要方向。目前，数据采集技术越来越广泛应用的同时，人们对数据采集的各项指标提出了更高的要求。现在通用的高速数据采集卡一般多是PCI卡或ISA卡，存在安装麻烦、成本高、插拔不方便、不易扩展、上传数据速度慢。为了解决这个问题虚拟仪器和USB 的接口技术在仪器研发领域受到了密切关注。 数据采集及控制的智能外设采用USB 接口改善了其瓶颈现像,也加强了它与通用计算机的“亲和力”。 USB接口速度快、设备安装和配置容易、采用总线供电、可热插拔。但是，作为虚拟仪器应用软件开发平台之一的Labview没有提供USB接口的驱动程序。为此,文章介绍了基于USB和Labview的虚拟仪器的设计原理以及USB驱动开发的方法,提出了一种开发的设计方案。由于实验室资源有限,本设计只能用普通USB摄相头代替USB数据采集卡，完成对图像数据的采集。 设计中介绍了USB驱动开发的一般方法，并给出了图像采集系统Labview应用程序,经过调试,得出了相应的结果。
