8/ CODE OF BUSINESS ETHICS

Introduction

Bbc endeavours to promote the continuous improvement of employment conditions, environmental aspects, management practices and the respect of human rights. Although our dealings with our business partners often take place in different environments, the Conventions of the International Labour Organization are universally valid and must apply to all its commercial activities.

Bbc wishes to implement and promote fundamental practices throughout the supply chain by binding its worldwide suppliers to these principles. The Code of Business Ethics has been prepared to help our business partners understand and apply these standards to their day-to-day operations.

Supplier Relationships

We seek to develop long-term business relationships with our suppliers who should operate in a manner consistent with certain values in the context of their particular culture. Our relationships with suppliers are based on the principle of fair and honest dealings in all circumstances not only with us but also with all others with whom they do business including employees, sub-contractors and other parties. This principle implies in particular that gifts and favours can not be offered nor accepted at any time. Our suppliers must not only pledge in writing to abide by the principles of this Code but also ensure its respect in practise.

In addition to the general principle of fair and honest dealings, we also have the following specific requirements, which apply to all our suppliers.
